In a British magazine Autocar have another image of generic versions of the official new model of Aston Martin - four-compartment Rapide. Recall that the first official snapshot of the machine Car edition was published in late November last year.
New pictures have confirmed that the same prototype, presented at MOTORSHOW in Detroit in 2006, commercial copy Rapide is merely the absence of additional rectangular air intakes on the bottom of the front bumper and a slightly modified rear bumper. Also, the car will get a great glass roof, amounting to the rear glass.
According to the edition of Autocar, Aston Martin Rapide will be built on a 255 mm long on the platform model DB9, through which the overall length of four-compartment reaches five meters. New product will be 130 kg heavier and 63 millimeters higher than the DB9, but also get a more powerful engine - shestilitrovy V12 power 480 horsepower, which will work in pairs with six automatic CPR Touchtronic with the possibility of manual gearshift. According to preliminary data, from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour and the machine will be able to disperse for about 4,5 seconds. Maximum speed - 290 kilometers per hour.
In Europe, Aston Martin Rapide will be on sale in 2010. It was expected that the UK price of this car will start from 140 thousand pounds sterling.
